Louisville Loop trail network
The state is offering up to $250,000 to support recreational trails in Louisville, and the committee wants the mayor to accept it. There's a local match requirement, so the city will chip in some of its own funds.
Seneca Park tennis court reconstruction
A $265,000 USTA grant will help rebuild ten heavily used tennis courts at Seneca Park — the city's second-largest bank of courts.
Recreational Trails Program grant for Louisville Loop maintenance
The committee recommended accepting up to $250,000 in state-administered federal money to repave, sign and maintain about 1.84 miles of the Louisville Loop near Shawnee Park, matched with in-kind Public Works labor.
Final report and committee dissolution
The committee's final report is due by mid-December and filing it dissolves the committee. Members want it to include the Lou 250 grant recap, photos, social media stats, and lessons learned for any future anniversary effort.
America 250 commemorative programming

Veterans Day Parade planning
The committee is making the Nov. 7 Kentucky Veterans Day Parade its final America 250 event, marching with Revolutionary War veteran placards and funding a $2,500–$3,500 LED screen to show the Lonnie Ali video. Members want remaining funds spent down before year's end.

Another $30,000 from District 10 was slated for Klondike Park — redesigned basketball and tennis/pickleball courts plus TrekFit exercise equipment.
Buechel Park improvements
District 10's park projects got a big mid-meeting raise — Buechel Park from $30,000 to $140,000 and Klondike Park from $30,000 to $55,000 — covering court redesigns, a new playground train, and outdoor exercise equipment.
Community event sponsorships and support
The committee advanced public funding for several neighborhood events: the Southwest Community Festival ($9,750 as amended), Taste of South Louisville ($10,000), Highview Fall Festival and Holiday Fest ($7,410), For Lady's Sake's Dining for Dignity ($5,000), and the St. James Court Art Show security ($5,000).
Buechel and Klondike Park upgrades
District 10 more than quadrupled the Buechel Park appropriation to $140,000 and raised Klondike Park to $55,000, paying for basketball/tennis/pickleball court redesigns, a replacement playground train, and TrekFit exercise equipment. Plus $10,000 to design "The Slab" at Joe Creason Park.
