Plant Based Treaty Endorsement
A resolution endorsing the Plant Based Treaty and supporting plant-based food access in Louisville was held because its sponsor is out of town. It will return to committee later.
Athletic facility in the Floyds Fork overlay
A developer wants to turn a former horse farm on South English Station Road into a field hockey training facility with two turf fields and up to 159 parking spaces. Staff says the plan meets the strict Floyds Fork overlay rules, and previous opponents apparently stayed home after neighborhood meetings.
Lights Out Louisville bird migration lighting resolution
A resolution asks residents and businesses to dim or shut off unnecessary lights during bird migration seasons, when light pollution disorients birds. The committee postponed it so amendments can address safety concerns about park lighting.
Cool Roof and Solarize workshops
The city is handing out rebates for reflective roofing and connecting homeowners to vetted solar installers at wholesale prices. Rebates go up to $2,000 for homes and $10,000 for churches and steep-slope commercial buildings. Officials also warned about solar scammers and urged residents to report bad deals.
