The attorney argued the $20,000 pole barn adds no traffic, that a sidewalk would cost as much as the building, and that an industrial corridor with chemical plants and heavy trucks is no place for pedestrians.

The business owner cited the 8-foot slope, utilities, a fire hydrant, and heavy truck traffic, and worried about the cost and upkeep of a sidewalk his trucks would destroy.
